The fourth installment of the North American SuperLiga is upon us, with the Fire joining MLS clubs New England Revolution, Houston Dynamo, and Chivas USA alongside Mexican Primera clubs Pachuca, Monarcas Morelia, Puebla, and UNAM Pumas. Last year (after a surprisingly hard-fought run of matches) the Fire reached the final of this tournament, losing a heartbreaker to UANL Tigres in penalty kicks.
The Fire's group for the first round of the tournament includes the Revs, Morelia, and Pumas. Group play for the Fire begins Wednesday, July 14 at 8:30 PM vs. Morelia, continues on Saturday, July 17 with a doubleheader featuring Fire vs. New England followed by Morelia vs. Pumas at 6 and 8:30 PM respectively, and concludes Tuesday, July 20 at 8:30 PM vs. Pumas.
Section 8 Chicago is offering $10 tickets in Sections 117/118 and beer bus rides to Toyota Park, also $10. For Wednesday's game, a bus will be making the trip to Toyota Park at 3 PM in order to allow fans to catch Manchester United going through the paces in training. Additionally, buy a ticket for Saturday's beer bus and get a free bus ride on Tuesday!
All match and bus tickets are available on our store. The usual Section 8 Chicago tailgate will be in the North Lot starting 3 hours before game time.
